3D Virtual Catalog

Photrealistic rendering

Photorealistic rendering included complex visual effects such as subtle shadows, glass effects, and refraction to maximise immersion and make the products look real.

Fully tailored user interface

The user interface has been fully tailored to the customer's needs using Flash and ActionScript 2.0 presented on top of the 3D scene implemented using Virtools and DirectX.

Highly optimized user experience

The highly optimized user experience allowed the customer to learn the interface of the 3D virtual catalog very easily within minutes of use.

Advanced features - Print Preview

The 3D virtual catalog included advanced features such as a print preview of the purchase order, rendering the purchase order into a PDF document and sending it by email.

Purchase Order Window

A window presenting the purchase order allowed the customer to see the prices of his purchased items and visually validate that what he ordered was what he wanted.

Persistence and customer file search

Database persistence allowed saving a 3D scene and customer info for later use. A search feature made it easy to search for a customer file by name or phone number.

Large selection of options

The virtual catalog made it possible for the customer to select among a large set of options. Here the customer selected a table with a top made of glass.

Various room configurations

The virtual catalog allowed the customer to select different room configurations and change the color of the walls to make it look similar to their dining room.

Intuitive navigation system

The 3D virtual catalog made it easy for the user to travel around the room by simply clicking on the furniture they wanted to get close to.

Many configuration options

The virtual catalog presented a wide selection of models of furniture and many options including tables, chairs, buffets, hutches, materials, leg shapes, colors and many more.

Product Configuration Tool

Online Configuration Tool

The online configuration tool was entirely implemented using Flash and ActionScript 3.0. A backend system was also implemented to manage content of the configurator.

Intuitive user interface

The interface made it easy for users to modify their furniture and add them to their wish list. All the details of the selected furniture were displayed in the right panel.

Wide range of furniture models

The configuration tool proposed a very wide range of furniture models allowing the user to choose from hundreds of different models of chairs, tables, buffets, hutches and more.

Presentation of various collections

The application allowed presentation of several collections of furniture. A management application made it easy to add new collections and maintain existing ones.

Wide selection of options

The product configurator presented many options for each of the furniture types presented. The user could select among many choices of color, fabric, leg types and more.

Silverlight Video Player

Realtime Video Playing

The Silverlight player allowed its users to watch a hockey game in realtime on the web using Akamai streaming technologies.

Interactive features

The player included various features such as updating the score and shots of each team in realtime. A ticker scroll presenting a message to viewers was updated in realtime as well.

Chossing from different camera views

The viewer was able to choose his favorite view from 4 camera views and swap between them during the whole game. He was also able to watch the game in fullscreen.

Media Streaming Management Application

Cloud user interface

The management application made it possible to connect remotely to a server and configure everything from anywhere. The client application also allowed several users to interact with the server at the same time.

Support of dynamically loaded plugins

Various plugins were implemented in the application for various purposes. Here the Video Encoder plugin allowed configuring video capture and monitoring what is captured.

Media stream configuration

The application allowed the user to configure everything from capture settings to encoding of the streams and compression settings. The user could validate what was encoded and how it would look like with the current settings.

Advanced media processing features

Advanced processing features made it possible to decode media streams, modify them and reencode them before being broadcasted. This permitted inserting advertising in media streams or censoring profanity before being broadcast.

The myTELUS Music Section

The Music section publishes various content about the Music scene and community, including artist bios, news, interviews, reviews and incoming events.

The myTELUS Entertainment Page

The Entertainement page presents content about the french cultural scene, including news and videos. It also presents an inventory of movies available on the TELUS TV VOD service and today's evening TV schedule.

myTELUS QMJHL Webcast Player Page

The QMJHL section of myTELUS presents all regular season and playoff games to TELUS Highspeed Internet subscribers for free. All games are archived and available for playback at any time, on demand.

The myTELUS QMJHL Homepage

The QMJHL homepage presents news about the league, details about the game schedules, and game results live during play.
